Hailing from Southeast London and Kent, AHREMAN are a three piece post metal and sludge outfit forging a sound built on crushing riffs, oppressive atmosphere and slow burning intensity. Drawing influence from the likes of Amenra, Cult of Luna, Neurosis, Mastodon and Isis, the band channel the weight and darkness of classic post metal while carving out a sound of their own. Their music balances dense, riff driven heaviness with expansive, atmospheric passages.

 

Monolithic guitars, thunderous drums and harsh, buried vocals create a wall of sound that feels both immense and deeply immersive, allowing space for tension to build before the next wave of heaviness crashes in.

 

Following their earlier single “Spine of the Whale”, AHREMAN's three track EP We Cherish The Fallen further establishes their identity, exploring themes of loss, memory and endurance through a cohesive and deliberately paced journey. Having reached the Kent Metal 2 the Masses finals, AHREMAN have already begun making their mark on the UK underground.

 

As one bystander put it: “Ahreman sound the way the old gods would if they found out we had been telling their stories wrong, and they’re pissed about it.” Heavy, deliberate and immersive, AHREMAN are a band worth watching as they continue to expand beyond their early releases.
